The fresh wind slabs are clearly recognisable. As a consequence of solar radiation loose snow slides are to be expected at any time. In addition a latent danger of gliding avalanches exists. The weather will be cold. As a consequence of falling temperatures, the natural activity of wet avalanches will appreciably increase. <br/> <br/> The covering of new snow is dry. The old snowpack is moist and its surface has a crust that is barely capable of bearing a load. At intermediate and high altitudes there is still a very large amount of snow.
