Wind-drifted snow

New snow requires caution. The weather report and anticipated change in the avalanche danger are uncertain.
The new snow can be released by a single winter sport participant in particular on very steep shady slopes at intermediate and high altitudes. The new snow-covered wind slabs of Tuesday can still be released in some cases in particular on steep northeast, east and southeast facing slopes at elevated altitudes.
The avalanches are rather small.
Snowpack
>
Up to 10 cm of snow fell on Tuesday in all altitude zones. At the southern and eastern borders of Aran snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Some snow will fall from midday in particular in the south and in the east.
The upper section of the snowpack consists of faceted crystals and its surface consists of surface hoar. In its middle, the snowpack is favourably layered.
Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and caution.
Tendency
The danger of dry avalanches will increase a little during the day.
