Fresh wind slabs represent the main danger.
The new snow-covered wind slabs can be released easily by a single winter sport participant on very steep north, northeast and southeast facing slopes above approximately 2400 m. These are mostly small.
Snowpack
>Adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Up to 5 cm of snow fell on Sunday above approximately 1800 m.
High altitudes and shady slopes: The upper section of the snowpack is largely stable. New snow is lying on old snow containing large grains.
Low and intermediate altitudes: The new snow of yesterday is lying on a crust.
