The new snow and wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence in all aspects above approximately 2000 m.
As a consequence of new snow and strong wind dry slab avalanches are to be expected from the early morning, even medium-sized ones. These can in many cases be released by a single winter sport participant and reach medium size. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation caution is to be exercised in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. From midday as the snowfall level rises there will be a gradual increase in the danger of moist avalanches. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation this applies in particular below approximately 1800 m.
Snowpack

Over a wide area 25 to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 1800 m. The wind will be strong over a wide area in particular at the southern border of Aran. In very isolated cases various wind slab layers are lying on old snow containing large grains. Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for experience and great restraint.
Tendency
Slight increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of the snowfall.
