Avalanche Problem
Wet snow

Wind-drifted snow

2300m

Less new snow than expected in large parts of Aran: A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. Moist snow slides during the day are still to be expected.
As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation more small moist and wet avalanches are possible in all altitude zones. This applies in very steep, sunny starting zones in all altitude zones that have retained the snow thus far.

The fresh snow and the mostly small wind slabs that are forming during the snowfall can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2300 m.
Snowpack
>
In all regions 5 to 10 cm of snow fell on Sunday above approximately 1800 m. Over a wide area new snow and wind slabs are lying on a moist old snowpack. Sunshine and high temperatures gave rise as the day progresses to rapid moistening of the snowpack on steep sunny slopes in all altitude zones.

In all regions at intermediate and high altitudes less snow than usual is lying. At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
The danger of wet avalanches will persist. The danger of dry slab avalanches will decrease gradually.
