Fresh wind slabs in the high Alpine regions.
Adjacent to ridgelines on north, east and south facing slopes mostly shallow wind slabs formed. In very isolated cases they are medium-sized and can be released by a single winter sport participant. At the border to Ribagorça and Pallars and at high altitude the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent and the danger is greater.
In addition especially in places that are protected from the wind, individual small dry loose snow avalanches are possible.

Snowpack

10 to 15 cm of snow has fallen since Wednesday above approximately 1800 m. The sometimes moderate wind has transported some snow.
The old snowpack remains well bonded on sunny slopes. The fresh wind slabs are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and generally in the high Alpine regions. They are lying on unfavourable layers in particular on little used shady slopes and at intermediate and high altitudes. Above approximately 2000 m there are 100 to 200 cm of snow. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.
