Gliding snow

Wet snow requires caution. The backcountry and freeriding conditions are to some extent unfavourable.
Wet snow represents the main danger.
Below approximately 2500 m small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist avalanches are possible. These can in some places be released easily. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep northwest to east to southeast facing slopes.
As a consequence of warming during the day more moist and wet avalanches are to be expected from midday, but they can be large in isolated cases. Individual gliding avalanches can also occur. In the course of the day danger level 3 (considerable) will be reached in all altitude zones.

Careful route selection is important.
Snowpack
>
The surface of the snowpack is hardly frozen at all and will soften quickly.
All aspects below approximately 2400 m: The snowpack is wet.

At intermediate and high altitudes there are 40 to 80 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. In all regions less snow than usual is lying. On steep sunny slopes at low and intermediate altitudes no snow is lying.
Tendency
Tuesday: Gradual decrease in danger of moist avalanches as the temperature drops. Gradual increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of new snow and wind.
