The avalanche conditions remain wintry at high altitude.
Fresh wind slabs represent the main danger. Loose snow slides require caution.
The small quantity of fresh snow of the last few days and in particular the resulting wind slabs can still be released in some cases in all aspects and generally at high altitude. They are covered with new snow in some cases and therefore difficult to recognise. Sometimes avalanches are medium-sized. In particular very steep shady slopes areas where the snow cover is rather shallow: They can in isolated cases be triggered in the old snowpack and reach dangerously large size. At the border to Ribagorça and Pallars the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent and larger.

Extremely steep slopes and sunny slopes: As a consequence of the new snow loose snow slides are possible, but they will be mostly small. In addition a latent danger of gliding avalanches exists.

The current avalanche situation calls for experience and restraint.
Snowpack
>
In particular in the south and in the east 20 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since Monday. The sometimes strong wind has transported the new snow. The various wind slabs of the last few days remain prone to triggering in all aspects and generally at high altitude. Some snow will fall until late morning in particular at the southern border of Aran. The light wind will transport only a little snow. On Saturday it will be cold. The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs remain in some cases prone to triggering.

Large-grained weak layers exist in the bottom section of the old snowpack in particular on west, north and east facing slopes. Areas where the snow cover is rather shallow where hard layers are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack are especially precarious. At intermediate altitudes there are 120 to 200 cm of snow, and even more in some localities.
Tendency
Some snow will fall on Sunday in particular in the north. Further increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of new snow and wind.
